About this blog

This blog is a record of the ephemeral art that I create in nature. Because by definition this artwork is temporary, photographs and videos are the only record of the process and finished works. In a sense, this blog is capturing a memory of things that no longer exist.

The medium I use is whatever is provided by nature. This may sound broad, and it is, which means that I'll never fully master the materials I'm working with. So think of this blog as a record of my journey, not as a finished product.

Along with learning about my materials, I'm also learning to accept myself as an artist (an identity that I had a hard time accepting). For the most part, I let the works speak for themselves, but as I gain an understanding of my artistic philosophy, I may share my ideas here as well (although I'm still not comfortable with my writer identity).

If nothing else, enjoy the pretty pictures!
